Smoothies are an easy way to increase your fruit consumption and improve your diet. While many people count a smoothie as part of their daily diet, others are not sure where to begin on making their own smoothies. It is always better to make your own because many of the store bought ones contain added sugar and calories.

  • 1/2 Mango, chopped
  • 1/4 Cucumber, skinned and chopped
  • 1/2 cup of shredded Carrot
  • 1/2 Pear, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup of Baby Spinach
  • 1/2 cup of Baby Kale

 Optional:

  • 1 Banana, chopped
  • 1 Red Plum, chopped

Simply throw it all into the blender with a splash of water and an ice cube or 2!

 

It’ll be hard to eat all the above mentioned fruits and vegetables on their own. That’s why smoothies are a great way to combine all of these ingredients and give you a well-balanced meal. The fruit also masks the taste of the added vegetables!
